Peter Cornish (Managing Director)
Peter Cornish has a lifetimes experience in education at all levels beginning his teaching career in secondary schools both here and overseas he progressed to become Executive Headmaster of SCECGS Redlands in Sydney. During his time at Redlands and in conjunction with the board of directors, the school prospered and grew from the single campus in Cremorne to encompassing many campuses right across the state.
On his retirement from Scecgs Redlands Mr Cornish took control of The Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE) in Homebush. Again Mr Cornish used his educational expertise with assistance from a very experienced board of directors, to take the tertiary institution from being a small, struggling entity to become one of the most prominent providers of education in its field.
Today Mr Cornish is Managing Director and owner of TMLE Pty Ltd and we are lucky enough to have his wealth of knowledge to guide the institution in a positive direction, concerned with providing the best vocational training in its chosen fields.
Stuart Miller (CEO)
Stuart Miller has spent many years in the law enforcement field beginning his career with The Australian Customs Service in 1980. Mr Miller then went on to join the NSW Police Force in 1985 and had a long and prosperous career both as an officer and trainer of probationary constables.
On his retirement from the Police Force in 2002, Mr Miller joined The Sydney Japanese School as registrar and went on to become registrar at Brigidine College in 2006 and finally joined The Australian College of Physical Education as the Senior Project Manager in 2007.
Today Mr Miller is CEO of TMLE Pty Ltd and is guiding the organisation into a number of previously unexplored fields and we are excited to have him leading the way to the future of vocational training.
Joshua Cornish (Director of Marketing)
Joshua came to TMLE this year bringing with him experience as a Company Director, Journalist, Shopping Centre Manager and Commercial Property Manager.
Joshua heads up our marketing department bringing to the team a young exuberance and flair for the media and modern marketing techniques.
Anthony Ellison (Trainer)
Anthony Ellison has been involved in the Security Industry for over 20 years performing various roles in various positions.
Anthony Joined the Australian Protective Service in 2001 performing the role of Counter Terrorism First Response which involved duties in response to Hostage situations, Terrorist attacks and other Security threats.
Anthony has since become a Tactical Instructor delivering training in Weapons, Defensive Tactics and all facets of Police Tactical training to Australian Federal Police, NSW State Police and other Government Law Enforcement organisations. Anthony is a highly motivated and enthusiastic Instructor who is happy to share his knowledge and experience to his students.
Anthony is a new addition to the TMLE training staff and we are lucky to have his great wealth of knowledge and expertise on offer to our students.
Mick Lukins (Trainer)
Mick Lukins has an extensive history in construction having worked for over 30 years in the construction and transport industries.
After retiring from this field of occupation Mick went on to become a lecturer at Lidcombe TAFE delivering courses in OH&S, safe work at heights, First Aid, elevating work platforms, working in confined spaces, construction Blue card training and Fatigue Management.
Mick has joined the TMLE team as a Fatigue Management expert and instructor and we are very happy to have an instructor with such a wealth of knowledge and credentials across such a wide range of industry specific topics.
Eden Findley (Trainer)
Eden has been in the training industry for a number of years building up a huge bank of knowledge on training and educational techniques.
Originally Eden came out of the security industry spending a number of years as a senior guard (including during the Sydney Olympics in 2000) and administrator.
Career prospects progressed and he joined Railcorp at the inception of the Transit Officer program that continues to this day. He flew through the ranks to become the Team Leader of the Graffiti Taskforce before leaving the rail industry to pursue work in the Council, Regulatory Services sector.
Eden worked as a Ranger for a number of years before deciding to go into training and joined the industry, specialising in a number of fields including customer service, officer survival, rail safety and process and of course Local Government Regulatory Services.
TMLE is very lucky to have a team member with such experience and credential and we look forward to being able to share his knowledge with our clients.
David Speed – RPL Assessment Coordinator
David has a very strong background in OH&S, Regulatory Services and as a workplace trainer and assessor.
David’s qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in OH&S, the Certificate IV in Workplace Safety, Certificate IV in Workplace training and Assessment, The Diploma in Government Investigations in addition to being a Certified OH&SA Auditor.
David brings this wealth of knowledge to our Recognised Prior learning area of operation and is a very valued member of the TMLE team while maintaining employment with a large Queensland mining operation in the field of OH&S education.
Lisa Stacey-Martin (AEA Course Coordinator)
Lisa commenced her working life as a business analyst, having completed an economics degree at Macquarie University. Lisa then left the city for the quieter life in a small, mid western town. It was here that her passion for teaching was realised and developed.
Lisa taught in piano and aerobics but it wasn’t until she had run successful retail stores in Dubbo and Port Macquarie that she returned to study, and gained her Diploma of Education in Primary Teaching.
Lisa then took up a post working in the Port Macquarie Primary Distance Education Centre where she was afforded the opportunity to write differentiated programmes for individual students and delivered lessons via satellite to students in remote parts of the state. It was this work and her work on the Department of Educations ‘Webwiz’ website that stimulated her interest in technology and the various ways of delivering education.
It was also during this time that Lisa worked with students experiencing learning disabilities and it was also during this time that she became extremely well versed in strategies and techniques for differentiating learning and engaging and motivating these students.
Lisa has since returned to Sydney and has joined the team as the course coordinator and designer of our AEA New South Wales Institute of Teachers courses. Her passion is to work towards bringing about a shift in the current perceptions and methods of education so that; “as teachers we bring about a learning environment that supports our enjoyment of teaching while recognising every students right to learn”.
Evi Messer (Program Coordinator)
TMLE if very pleased to be able to welcome back into the fold Evi Messer who has been on a 12-month hiatus.
Evi began her working career as a Police Officer working in various areas and in a variety of roles. She remained in the Force for 24 years before leaving to work in other areas and concentrate on her family.
Evi was one of the original TMLE team and worked with Michael Jarman for several years before taking a break to pursue other interests.
Evi has now returned and adds to the TMLE team by bringing with her an extensive knowledge of Council Operation, administration and her fantastic personality and disposition which make her a very welcome and valued member of the team.
Charlene Burnett (Receptionist)
Charlene in the most recent edition to the team and brings with her a sparkling personality and a drive and work ethic which is instantly recognisable.
She has experience in hospitality and a deep understanding of people and customer service. Having also spent time as a PA and receptionist she has acquired the skills to deliver an exceptional experience for our clients and her bright personality is a welcome breath of fresh air.
Charlene is a greatly valued member of the team and we are all excited to watch her grow her skills as her role in the organisation expands.
